Most painting companies on the island make you ask. We'd rather you know before you message us: painter labour starts from ฿1,500 for a full 8-hour day.

"From" means exactly that: straightforward work at the base rate; specialist coatings, difficult access or heavy repair work are always priced in the quote up front — never added afterwards.
What's included in the labour rate
- Experienced painter with professional tools (brushes, rollers, trays, ladders)
- Surface preparation — filling, sanding, masking as part of the job
- Protection of floors and furniture, and cleanup at the end
- A tidy finish checked with you before we leave
What's quoted separately
- Paint, primer, sealers and filler — at store price, chosen with you
- Scaffolding for high exterior work, where needed
- Major render repair or damp-proofing beyond normal preparation
This split keeps quotes honest. Labour is predictable; materials depend on the paint you choose and the state of your walls. You see both numbers separately, so you can compare us fairly with anyone.

Labour only
You buy the paint, we do the work. From ฿1,500/8h per painter. Popular with owners who already know exactly what they want.
Full service
We recommend the right paint for Samui's climate, collect it, and handle everything. Materials appear at store price on your quote. Most customers choose this.
Pricing questions, answered honestly
Is ฿1,500 per day or per hour?
฿1,500 is the starting labour rate for one painter for one full 8-hour working day. It is not an hourly rate.
Is paint included in the ฿1,500?
No — ฿1,500 is the labour rate. Paint and materials are separate, and you see them as their own line in the quote. You can supply your own paint, or we buy it for you at store price with your approval.
Do you quote per square metre or per day?
We plan in painter-days because wall condition changes everything — 100 m² of sound walls and 100 m² of cracked, mouldy walls are very different jobs. Your written quote fixes the number of days, so the total is known before we start.
Why is the rate higher than mainland Thailand day rates?
Island economics are real: materials cost more to bring in, distances are short but slow, and skilled painters are in demand. Our rate reflects experienced painters doing preparation properly — cheap paintwork that peels after one rainy season is the expensive option.
Is there a call-out fee or minimum?
The quote is free. The practical minimum booking is one painter for one day — the day rate. For very small touch-ups, message us anyway; if it's an hour's work we'll tell you and find a fair way to price it.
How do I pay?
Payment terms are agreed in the written quote before work starts — typically staged for larger projects. No hidden extras are added afterwards: if something unexpected appears in the walls, we tell you first and agree the change in writing.
