When is the best time of year for exterior painting in Koh Samui?
The drier months — roughly February to September — are ideal. Exterior paint needs dry walls and a rain-free window to cure. We plan exterior projects around the forecast and paint interiors on wet days, so schedules stay realistic in the green season.
What paint lasts longest on exterior walls here?
Quality 100% acrylic exterior paint with UV and anti-fungal protection, applied over a proper primer. Salt air near the beach and heavy UV fade cheap paints fast. We recommend specific products in the quote and are honest about where spending more actually pays off.
My exterior walls are cracked and chalky — can you still paint them?
Yes, that's most jobs. Chalky surfaces are washed and sealed, cracks are cut out and filled, and damp-damaged render is repaired before any topcoat. Skipping this is why many Samui exteriors peel within a year or two.
Do you paint boundary walls, gates and fences?
Yes — boundary walls, driveway gates, steel fences (with rust priming) and garden structures are common add-ons to an exterior job, or bookable on their own with the day rate.
